Route details

This is an attractive loop around the Niedow Lake on practically empty asphalt roads and
sections of dedicated bicycle paths.170m of elevation at 14km indicate its ‘foothill’ character.
There are two climbs approaching 8%. The route is interesting and has good scenic values.

1. Dam – Cernousy

It is probably best to start at the top of the dam where you can find a fairly convenient car
park. You can also reach this place using a dedicated bicycle path starting at the road no. 352.
In the first case, you ride uphill the slopes of the Klapacz Mountain passing, a bit further on,
w The Slavic Hill (Slowianskie Wzgorze) with a beautiful view over the lake and the Jizera
Mountains. It is followed by a dynamic descent to Wilk and on two stretches on a dedicated
bicycle path we reach the border. There is not even a sign there and only the end of the bike
path marks the Czech Republic.

2. Cernousy – dam

At the beginning, you have to ride shortly across our neighbours' land. The border is clearly
marked this time. After that, you climb up to Spytkow and there is an obligatory descent and a
return ride to the lake. A bit further on, having enjoyed another pleasant landscapes, you reach
the dam.

3. The dam in Niedow

You have to walk it on foot. The walk is not long but it is interesting.
