Short characteristics

It is an attractive loop of a light MTB character leading through the Bystrzyca Mountains.
Smooth forest and asphalt roads with moderate traffic dominate there. I suggest going
clockwise.

First uphill section

Duszniki-Zdroj-Zbojnicka Mountain. You start with a steep climb in the town (12%), then
there is the ‘Pod Mouflonem’ Mountain Shelter with excellent views over the area. From that
moment on, the fall decreases and you reach the Zbojnicka Mountain after about 9 km and
with an elevation gain of 300 m.

First downhill section

Zbojnicka Mountain – Bystrzyca Dusznicka. Now you mostly ride slightly down partly via the
famous fire road 178 with a beautiful asphalt ‘cycling path’ in the mountains and you also
pass Peat Bog by Zieleniec.

Second uphill section

It leads from the bridge over the Bystrzyca Dusznicka river to Zieleniec. With 200+ meters of
elevation gain, narrow paths, rocks and 12% of steepness over a few short sections, it is quite
a difficult section, running through some unusual outskirts of the town. Then you ride on the
official asphalt roads across this ski resort.

Second downhill section

Zieleniec – Duszniki-Zdroj
This initially quite busy asphalt road does not promise an excellent descent. There are longer
fast forest sections and an unusual beech forest with undergrowth. The track winds over
deeply indented ledges. After that, some field paths with nice views and asphalt roads rush
you back to the town. There is also a pond with an adjacent restaurant on the way.
