Route details

Short characteristics

This is an extensive loop around the city running through and next to the remains of the unique in Europe fortifications of Wroclaw Fortress built in the years 1890-1916 including two breaks. The route is very well marked, although in the complex urban area, it may not always be enough. Therefore, it is worth having a smartphone with an application or a GPS navigation. Fortunately, the route is mostly very pleasant and smooth to ride and you do not have to treat it as a heavy historical ‘duty’. There are a lot of bicycle paths, embankment rides, as well as strange shortcuts that you certainly did not know they existed. You can also enjoy a lot of nice views. However, it is worth taking advantage of the proposed modification bypassing the very busy and very unpleasant for cyclists Kowalska street. If you do not visit numerous attractions located on the way, then with efficient and flawless navigation and cycling at a good pace, you can ride it all in one day. The photos are arranged counterclockwise starting from Brochow (this is the direction the authors of the loop took).
