Route details

It is a beautiful loop led in a varied terrain with numerous hills and extensive views. You have
to add about 600m of elevation gain to the 50km of length. The route crosses the Bobr river
and the local Bobr River Valley Landscape Park twice and the places by the river are perfect
for a short break. The track runs mostly on good quality field roads but there are some asphalt
stretches as well. It is well marked with green signs.

This is a very nice town full of monuments with soaring towers. It was granted city rights by the king Wladyslaw Jagiello in 1418. In the Old Town, there is the largest 14th-century Gothic-Renaissance town hall in Silesia. On the market square, in addition to several tenement houses, there are also three historic fountains.

An outdoor event organized in Lwowek Slaski, the main part of which is the mineral exchange flea market.

The brewing museum in Lwowek Slaski, is the only such exhibition in Lower Silesia. There are over 400 exhibits presenting the history of the place and the beer brewing process.

The Luban Tower is a remnant of the town gate. The first tower was erected in the 13th century. The current one was built in the 17th century. The town's defensive walls next to the tower have been preserved. Today, it houses a charming café.

There were two defensive towers in the village: the town tower and the prince's tower. The first was built at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries and the second in the 16th century.

The castle was erected in the 1620s on the initiative of Zygmunt Zedlitz. Abandoned in the 18th century, it began to fall into disrepair and remains in such a state to this day.

The exact date of construction of the castle is unknown but it is estimated that it was built just before 1294 because its first mention comes from this year. The castle was rebuilt in 1603 into a Renaissance residence. It has been in ruins since 1945.

Waterside recreational areas.

These are two large reservoirs (i.e. post-mining pits flooded with water) located at the Bobr river, in the middle of this loop. Passing through Rakowice Male, it is worth turning off the route a few hundred meters to the south to visit the local lido.

These are the ruins of a manor house from the 18th-19th century, which was built on the site of an earlier foundation. The palace park from the same period looks very interesting. It is currently wild but you can find there two 200-year-old American tulip trees and a plane tree with a trunk circumference of 460cm.

The castle is located in the former village of Plakowice, today's district of Lwowek Slaski. The construction of the facility was completed in 1563 and was financed by the Talkenberg family. Since 1992, the ‘Elim’ Christian Centre has been located in the castle.

This is a group of impressive sandstone rocks similar in appearance to those in the Stolowe (Table) Mountains.

The complex of defensive walls in Lwowek Slaski was built in the 14th/15th centuries. It consists of defensive walls with towers and the Boleslawiec Tower.

Originally, in the place of today's palace, there used to be an old manor rebuilt in the times of Bernhard von Schmettau into a baroque palace. Thirty-seven years later, the palace burned down in a fire, a new, neo-baroque one was erected on its remains and it has survived until today.
