Route details

Short characteristics

This route is short and, by the standards of the Zone, easy. It connects two scenic attractions near the town. You start in Gluszyca and cycle anti-clockwise.

Gluszyca – Imperial Rock (Skalka Cesarska)

After a short climb, you come across a beautiful cascade of the 19th-century ponds on Marcowy Duzy and Maly Stream. In the past, the reservoirs were a source of water for textile factories, now they are a recreational place for leisure and fishing. It is followed by a longer uphill section on wide and paved forest roads. From the Marcowa Pass, you start the descent by forest roads and paths. This is how you reach the rocks located above Gluszyca.

Imperial Rock -Imperial Rocks (Skałka Cesarska-Cesarskie Skałki)

This is a spectacular group of rocks over Gluszyca. It is worth stopping the ride to go up there. Climbers can be an additional attraction, because it is quite a popular place among them. The further route is less obvious as it disappears on the overgrown paths. You close the loop by a ride along the Bystrzyca River. You cycle on narrow, empty asphalt or cobbled roads.
