Route details

Short characteristics

This is a classic MTB loop with uphill and downhill sections intertwined. You start at 300m
a.s.l. and proceed to the highest point of 825m a.s.l. We suggest cycling clockwise because, in
this way, you rather do not exceed 10% of the slope steepness when going up and you ride on
easy surfaces. During the descents, on narrower, stony paths there is 15% of steepness. In
total, with the 590m of elevation gain there is 22km to ride.

Uphill asphalt section from Pieszyce (0-9.9 km)

It is a pleasant and scenic section and you do not even notice the 400m the elevation gain.

Across the slope of the Wielka Sowa Mountain (9.9 km – 15.4 km)

The section runs on luxurious wide gravel roads and stony forest paths. You start with a
comfortable uphill stretch quickly reaching the highest point (near Mlynsk). There you can
count on more spacious views followed by a spectacular descent with ‘flying’ stones and a
meadow by the former Potoczek mountain hostel. This is how you get to the asphalt road no.
383.

Rosciszow – Pieszyce

The closure of the loop is led on the asphalt road no. 383 and on dirt roads. In Rosciszow, it is
worth looking around the town which used to be a health resort.
