Route details

Short characteristics

This is a very pleasant and effective loop along the Sowie (Owl) Mountains. The first 10km is
a light MTB with about 180m of elevation gain. The rest, running along the Dzierzoniow
Valley, are quiet asphalt roads with beautiful views. You start in Pieszyce and go clockwise.

Pieszyce – Rosciszow (0-12.5 km)

It is a section of MTB leading mainly on dirt roads. Initially, you ride across the fields and
through forests growing on the slopes passing Bielawa Lake (it is worth turning to the island
in the middle) on the outskirts of Bielawa. Before Pieszyce you should do a mini loop to leave
the forest – the reward is a bird eye view over the town. You continue the ride across the
outskirts to Rosciszow.

Rosciszow – Pieszyce (12.5-23.5 km)

This section leads on an asphalt road. The road is brand new, smooth and goes slightly
downhill. You are accompanied by the Sowie Mountains visible on the left hand side and you
can see the Kielczyn Hills and the Sleza and Radunia Massifs in front of you. What more
could you want? Well, yes, maybe just another lake or pond! This whim can be satisfied in
Bratoszow, where you can rest under a large pedunculate oak and reflectively admire the
surroundings.
