Short characteristics

It is a very pleasant, classic singletrack with steepness occasionally exceeding 15%. Local soil
was used to make the entire track. It runs along a steep slope covered with a spruce forest and
diversified by two clearings. There is one short wall and several heavily banded turns on the
route. You return on the asphalt road across the pass. In the near future (mid-2021), the route
will be extended by section F, so that the uphill section E (or blue MTB) can be used to close
the loop.

The route is known as Endruo Srebrna Gora D and as Romet Red Line in the Sudeten MTB Zone system. The beginning of the route is a gate with an information board.

It is a former Prussian fortress consisting of the main fort Donzon, smaller Ostrog and Rogowy and many other forts and bastions. The Srebrna Gora Fortress is a unique facility in the scale of the military cultural heritage of Europe and one of the most important tourist attractions of Lower Silesia. The mighty Donjon is particularly impressive being one of the most interesting fortifications of the modern era. The extent of the entire complex and its location on the peaks make the Srebrna Gora stronghold one of the largest mountain defense complexes on our continent. During their stay, the visitors have an opportunity to meet a guide - a soldier who presents the history and curiosities of the Fortress in an engaging way. The program covers visiting the casemates, including the underground water intake with a 53m deep well carved in the rock and the intake mechanism, an underground drawbridge, crossing the deepest moat in Poland. Adults, children and youth will also get to know the whole range of fortress artillery used to defend will have a chance to see a shot from a replica of the largest cannon in Silesia. All attractions and exhibitions have been prepared in such a way as not to tire or bore the audience, on the contrary, to allow them to be transported to the times of the 18th century life of the mountain fortress. This railway viaduct in Srebrna Gora was built as part of the so-called Sowia Gora Rack Railway. The viaduct was commissioned in 1902 and is 28m high. During the crisis in the interwar period the railway was closed.

Fort Spitzberg - Ostrog is one of the forts of the Srebrna Gora fortress. Built in the years 1769-72, it was erected on the top of the hill from which it took its name as an auxiliary fort of the Silver Mountain Fortress. It is a seasonal attraction.

The historic buildings of Srebrna Gora were entered into the register of monuments on September 1 st , 1959. The medieval layout of the oval village with the church standing in the middle of the square has been preserved there.

Since 1993, the Centre has been organizing active recreation for children and teenagers. It offers a year-round accommodation base in Srebrna Gora and organises school trips and green schools.

The Evangelical Church in Srebrna Gora was built in 1592. In 2007 it was adapted for cultural purposes. Currently, the church serves as a theatre hall and an art gallery.
