Route details

Short characteristics

It is a brilliant MTB route that literally starts in the town and runs mainly on forest roads. The
most beautiful thing is that you start in a large urban centre and after riding literally 200m you
can feel the distant mountains. There are a lot of gravel roads and interesting landscapes. The
route is varied as there are demanding climbs (15%) and fast descents (22%). The description
goes counter-clockwise.

1st ascent and descent (0- 3.3 km)

There is +170m and – 70m to ride as you quickly leave the town cycling on a beautiful off-
road path perfect for a descent. On this section, you can turn to the medieval castle Nowy
Dwor in Ogorzelec and admire some impressive views from there. Next, a gravel road and an
uphill stretch take you almost to the Kozie Siodlo pass. There is a turnaround and a short
descent.

2nd ascent and descent (3.3 – 6.6 km)

Up +150 m, down -20 m, it is an open and truly scenic section. From Kamionki you follow
the red bicycle sign. There is the panorama of the Suche Mountains with an impressive
Rybnica Lesna malaphyre quarry.

3rd ascent and descent (6.6 – 10.3 km)

You ride +70 m, -170m across the forest slope of the Borowa Mountain reaching the highest
point of the route (750m a.s.l.). From that place on, there is a sharp downhill stretch through
the Kozia Pass to the outskirts of Kamiensk ,where you make a sharp turn.

4th ascent and descent (10.3 – 16.2 km)

You ride +130m, -240m, +25m and there is a demanding climb with beautiful views and a
fabulous downhill stretch. On the way, there is also a viewing platform over a closed quarry.
At the end, you land back in the town completely without ‘warning’.
