Route details

Short characteristics

It is a beautiful general route around the borough. Its name perfectly reflects the nature of the loop. You will find there quite flat sections with an extensive view over the fields, but you will also ride across hills and forests and over ponds. Although the difference in height between the highest and lowest point of the route is only 60m, you will find there many short ascents and descents in the range of 5-7.5%, giving a total of 460m of elevation gain (over a total of 57km). The tracks are very diverse: in addition to beautiful, even and light traffic asphalt road, there are a lot of field sections on dirt roads, as well as quite sandy forest stretches. All this makes it a loop for everyone who loves to ride. A good starting point is the railway station in Lenartowice. Of course, you can also start in Wolow using DOT40 as an access and return route.

Southern section

Southern part is quite flat and leads mostly among fields. Asphalt and comfortable gravel roads dominate but there are a few busy intersections. For me, despite the sacral monuments of Krzydlina Mala, this is the least interesting part.

Northeast section

Initially, it runs on forest tracks, then along small asphalt roads. The great advantage is the height difference. It is not only about easy climbs and descents, but also beautiful views of the undulating terrain. From Steszew, you enter the forest bike paths and there is no asphalt or even gravel up to Stary Wolow. It is about 10km of a beautiful ride. Overall the rating of this
section is excellent!

Western part

It leads across the Jezierzyca Valley Landscape Park. This is probably the greatest treasure of Wolow region with two beautiful ponds and the Wrzosy Wilderness nature reserve. You ride there mostly on sandy tracks in a high forest and there are a lot of interesting ascents and descents. You leave the Park near Krzydlina Mala, finishing the third part.

Jezierzyca Valley Landscape Park

The main part of the park consists of coniferous forests, the terrain is sandy and therefore more difficult to access. There are no settlements. It is a relatively secluded place, considering the proximity of Wroclaw. In the heart of the Park, the Wrzosy Wilderness Reserve has been separated and this trail which runs along the edge of it. In addition to the inaccessible wetlands, there are two beautiful ponds full of bird life. Two rivers flow here: the Jezierzyca and the Juszka. In their fork, you will find Kretowice settlement.
