Route details

Route characteristics: easy, family-friendly bike route adapted to every level of the cyclist’s “advancement”. The route leads through key Wrocław attractions, on easy-to-cycle roads (asphalt, dirt, no elevation gain). We set off from Wolności Square, leaving the National Forum of Music behind us. We go along the green Staromiejska Promenade towards Piotra Skargi Street, we cross it, then, on the left, we pass the newly renovated Pannier Bastion [Bastion Sakwowy] (a must-see!). At the end of the ride along the promenade, we turn right. The route leads along gen. R. Traugutta Street, then, through the underground passage under Społeczny Square, we reach Walońska Street. We cross the historic Oławski Bridge and continue along Na Grobli Street (on the right, we can see Hydropolis – another site worth visiting). We cross the Oder, going left along Zwierzyniecka Footbridge (oh, those views of the river!). In front of us there is the zoo (tip: in the summer, you can also enter the zoo from this side, through the so-called summer entrance). Having crossed the footbridge, we turn right (we can stop at the Odra-Pany Beach Bar). We follow a beautiful route among trees along the Oder, pass through Dąbski Park, then continue along Z. Wróblewskiego Street to reach Szczytnicki Park. There are plenty of attractions here, including the Centennial Hall with its Visitor Centre and a multimedia fountain and a Japanese Garden next to the Hall. Art lovers will undoubtedly appreciate the Four Domes Pavilion – the Museum of Contemporary Art. Then the route leads through the Zwierzyniecki Bridge and along Wyspiańskiego Coast towards the Grunwaldzki Bridge. We pass under Społeczny Square again, then we go along Marii i Lecha Kaczyńskich Boulevard and X. Dunikowskiego Boulevard (on the left, there is the National Museum, and on the right – a beautiful view of Ostrów Tumski – the oldest part of Wrocław). We head towards the Market Square [Rynek], where our trip ends.
